It’s time to sign up for Airborne Dance’s first Winter Showcase! This winter we look forward to celebrating together in our own house. We will be transforming our gym floor into a theater, bringing in dance floors, backdrops and lighting, and inviting all Airborne students to join us! Students will perform to all the classic winter and holiday favorites, celebrating the season in the best way we know how…by dancing!
Who: Airborne students from both Longmont & Frederick locations
What: A fun dance concert showcasing our students’ hard work and celebrating the holiday season!
Where: The Airborne Dance Performing Arts Center 🙂 Our Longmont Location.
When: Dress Rehearsal ~ Friday, December 14th. Show 1 Rehearsal: 5:30-7:00. Show 2 Rehearsal: 7:00-8:30.
Show ~ Saturday, December 15th. 1st Show 5:00 PM (Call time 4:15 PM) 2nd Show 7:00 PM (Call time 6:15 PM)
Participation: Participation is optional for all recreational students from both our Longmont and Frederick locations. If students choose not to participate, they will still learn the choreography and practice performing in class with their peers. *Select classes of the same style and age group may be combined based on enrollment numbers. Certain specialty classes will not perform, as they are based mainly on technical growth over performance. Please see the list below of participating classes.
Costumes: Our hope for this show is to keep things easy for families, making it accessible for all to join! One way to do this is to keep costumes simple. Students may be asked to wear items following the Airborne Dance dress code for each class and/or items brought from home. Ex. Jr. Ballet 3 students may wear pink tights, a black leotard, their pink ballet shoes + a red ballet skirt and matching headpiece that Airborne provides.
If the costume requires a part of Airborne Dance’s studio dress code and your dancer has not purchased it yet, we may ask you to do so. Other than that, we will do our best to work with what you have at home already!
Hair and Make-up: Teachers will be asking parents to come in closer to the show to go over costumes and hairstyles. Make-up should be kept pretty simple. Light stage makeup is preferred.
Fees and Payments: There will be a $60.00 participation fee for each performing student. This includes participation in 1 dance, cost of equipment rental, and a small costume rental fee. Spectator admission is included in this price as well. Each additional dance will require a $20.00 additional participation fee. Payment is due at the time of sign-up.
Example: 1 Dance, Jr. Ballet 1 = $60.00
2 Dances, Jr Ballet 1 & Jr. Tap 1 = $60.00 + $20.00 = $80.00 total
Reminder! Admission to our show will be free for all! Bring those friends and family, folks 🙂
Attendance: Attendance is required for both Dress Rehearsal and the Show. Please make sure you can attend both days. Class attendance is also important as teachers begin to teach choreography. The more your dancer is present in class the more confident they will feel on stage!
